Hi everyone!
I'm Jia Wen and this is the first post by your 25th ExCo!
Just a couple of updates for this week:
1) Concert
For those that did not attend practice on tuesday, I advertised two concerts on that day. The first one is a jazz concert called "Jazz You Up" and it is held this friday (6th August) and saturday (7th August), 8pm at Singapore Conference Hall. This concert would also feature our suona teacher, Han Lei who will be playing guan for the performance. The ticket is priced at $13.50 after a heavy discount. So, those who are interested can text me at 96528612 and tell me your name, class and how many tickets you want by THURSDAY 5TH AUGUST 2010, 5PM.
The second concert is the one by Huang Zhi Hui. It's called "Virtuoso of Harmony" and is
held next Friday, 13 August, 8pm at Singapore Conference Hall. This concert will feature two very
beautiful singers (as what zhi hui claimed) as well as Chung Cheng High Main CO. The ticket is priced
at $10 for students and is free seating. Please support zhi hui and tell me the number of tickets you
would like to buy (WITH YOUR MONEY) by 10 August during practice. I have 30 tickets up for sale.
2) Orchestra Discipline
As many of you might realise, you guys are getting more unattentive during orchestra practice recently. I understand that 老天爷下甘雨 is a pretty new song but it is not difficult for most of us. So, please go home and practice instead of practicing during dazu. Also, just a reminder for all of you: when you guys talk, it is very difficult for zhi hui to coordinate the practice session. Please try to reserve everything you want to say for that 2 hours and devote your attention into practicing.
3) CO T-shirt
The comm has decided that we would like to design and print a CO tee for everyone this year. However, we have not check with Chen Lao shi yet but we'll be doing so asap. Thus, feel free to email us whatever designs you have on your mind to my email jiawen95@hotmail.com!
This is all I have for now. Practice hard!
